Here is a black spiny urchin found off the coast of Negril Jamaica on a morning snorkel trip on the west end cliffs. This is in about 15 feet of water and withing 50 feet of the shoreline of Heartbeat Resort in Negril.

I’m just learning the thing but it looks like a cool toy. This bait fish was swimming around my feet off Negril Beach so I took a couple shots for playing with the new camera.

There were also a couple larger fish swimming in mini schools. These two juvenile permit kept me entertained for quite some time as I chased them for the right shot. I know you’re not really supposed to chase them but it was fun going around in circles with them as I tried for a better shot.
