A jeweled damsel peeks out from under a rock and lets his purple spots shine electric blue for us. The light show these fish put on is truly amazing to me. To watch as they turn on their lights and shine for us when we approach them is awesome. No matter the light conditions underwater the Jeweled Damsel shines a bright electric blue spot against the purple fish body for a dazzling show indeed.

The juvenile jewel damsels are some of the prettiest of all the tropicals withthe brightest spots you ever saw on a fish that will actually light up as the fish gets excited.. The first photo above gives the best view of the jeweled damsel I have ever been able to take. These fish are very shy and tricky to get a good picture of but I’ll keep trying.
