Spiny Black Urchin in Negril

Here is a black spiny urchin found off the coast of Negril Jamaica on a morning snorkel trip on the west end cliffs. This is in about 15 feet of water and withing 50 feet of the shoreline of Heartbeat Resort in Negril.

White coral and a red sea urchin

A chunk of white coral and a red sea urchin from a recent snorkeling trip off of Negril Jamaica. The coral formations around Jamaica are great and there is still quite a bot of life left in the reef here. Its hopeful we’ll be able to save it for the future generations of dive photography fans to enjoy. If not then here are some nice pics of what the reef used to look like in Jamaica.

Here is a healthy piece of brain coral off the coast of Negril Jamaica on a snorkel trip with JamaicaMAX.com. The brain coral is very susceptible to coral bleaching and pieces are becoming more rare.

A porcupine puffer fish swims off the coast of Negril Jamaica after a day of snorkeling the shallow near shore waters. The Sea Life SL320 handles video and pitcures underwater nicely although I could use some more experience personally.
