School of young porcupine puffers

A really cool school of juvenile porcupine puffers hangs out on the rocks near shore in Negril Jamaica. Diving in Negril has been so much fun with the Sea Life SL320 and I am so glad I broght my dive camera with me to Jamaica. It has been a great time learning all about dive photography and I am so grateful to have this opportunity to share these jamaica dive photos with you all.

School of wrasse fish

A snorkeling trip off Negril Jamaica gets us another nice reef scene with a school of wrasse swimming in the background. The wrasse is a popular fish in the waters of Jamaica and the variety of colors in these tropical fish puts on a wonderful show for us novice dive photographers.

Coral reef with large coral tower reaching skyward

A nice scene of the coral reefs around Negril Jamaica. This coral tower sticks out of the reef and reaches for the sky and the energy it needs from the sun. The reef in Negril is in sad shape and pretty scenes on the reef like this one come in patches now. The entire ecosystem is being effected each time one of us flushes the toilet and it really is a shameful tragedy.

A jewel damsel fish with electric blue spots

A jeweled damsel peeks out from under a rock and lets his purple spots shine electric blue for us. The light show these fish put on is truly amazing to me. To watch as they turn on their lights and shine for us when we approach them is awesome. No matter the light conditions underwater the Jeweled Damsel shines a bright electric blue spot against the purple fish body for a dazzling show indeed.

Jamaican Diver prepares his spear gun for battle

A jamaica spear fisherman gets his spear gun ready for another shot at a fish off the coast of Negril Jamaica. Shooting a moving fish with a camera is hard but so is shooting one with a spear gun and these guys have to catch a fish if they want to eat that day. If I miss a picture its no big deal, he misses a shot and his kids go to bed hungry.
