School of young porcupine puffers

Diving in Negril has been so much fun with the Sea Life SL320 and I am so glad I broght my dive camera with me to Jamaica. Coral reef with large coral tower reaching skyward

A nice scene of the coral reefs around Negril Jamaica. This coral tower sticks out of the reef and reaches for the sky and the energy it needs from the sun. The reef in Negril is in sad shape and pretty scenes on the reef like this one come in patches now. The entire ecosystem is being effected each time one of us flushes the toilet and it really is a shameful tragedy.

A jamaica spear fisherman gets his spear gun ready for another shot at a fish off the coast of Negril Jamaica. Shooting a moving fish with a camera is hard but so is shooting one with a spear gun and these guys have to catch a fish if they want to eat that day. If I miss a picture its no big deal, he misses a shot and his kids go to bed hungry.

White coral and a red sea urchin

A chunk of white coral and a red sea urchin from a recent snorkeling trip off of Negril Jamaica. The coral formations around Jamaica are great and there is still quite a bot of life left in the reef here. Its hopeful we’ll be able to save it for the future generations of dive photography fans to enjoy. If not then here are some nice pics of what the reef used to look like in Jamaica.
